SECTION A: ADVOCACY AND LOBBYING

b) Describe six conditions which are necessary for a successful advocacy campaign (12 marks)
2. a) State and explain four tools used by a lobby groups to educate an elected official about issues and concerns about of the group (8 marks)
b) Describe six measures used to advocate for women rights and freedom (12 marks)
3. a) Explain four intervention measures used by the government to prevent gender-based violence. (8 marks)
b) Describe six behavioral practices which lobbyist should avoid in order to build a lasting relationship with elected officials. (8 marks)
4. a) State and describe four types of mass media which would be used for advocacy work (8 marks)
b) State and describe six characteristics of an effective partnership for advocacy (12 marks)

7. a) Julius married Mary according to their religious rites. After staying together for five years, Julius deserted Mary and their two children and set-up a home with another woman called Jane. After staying with Jane for one year Julius died. In his will he had left all his property to Jane and nothing to Mary.
Mary is now aggrieved.
